How to Successfully Migrate your NetClientCS account

to the New Thomson Reuters Account

Our Client Portals have been updated. For you to have a successful experience logging in and uploading your documents, please read the step-by-step instructions on how to upgrade your existing NetClientCS account to your new Thomson Reuters log-in without having to create a whole new account. Step 1:

Start by navigating to our website. Click “Client Center” in the upper right corner of the page and then click “Client Login” to access your client portal.

Step 2:

Enter your NetClientCS login and password. After entering your username and password, select “Upgrade my NetStaff CS or NetClient CS login.”

Step 3:

After “upgrading” your account, you will be prompted to create new credentials for your new Thomson Reuters account. Type in the email address you wish to use and click continue.

Step 4:

Next, set your new password. Don’t forget to click that you agree to the terms of use then click “Continue.” Please note that we will no longer have the ability to see or change your password, so be sure to save your login information in a safe spot!

Step 5:

Next you will need to verify your email address before the migration is complete. You will receive a code to the email address you entered. Please retrieve the code from your email and type it in on the page to verify.

Below is an example of the email you will receive with the verification code needed to verify your email address.

Now you will enter the code onto the page to verify your account and click “Continue”.

Step 6:

You will now be taken to the new, updated sign-in page. Here, you will enter your email address and password you just set and click sign-in. You should also receive an email stating that your account was successfully upgraded to Thomson Reuters.

Step 7:

After signing into your new Thomson Reuters account, you will be asked to set up two-factor authentication. This is new to our Client Portal and cannot be disabled. However, there are several options for authentication that you can choose from and will make your sign-in experience as easy as possible. We recommend you choose to use your phone as your two-factor authentication, as you will receive a text message code directly to your phone when you are signing in.

You will input your phone number, select text message, and then click “Continue”.

You will be sent a code to the phone number you provided. This is the code you will type in to verify your identity. Whenever you log into your account you will use this is the same easy process. Simply log in using your email and password then input the code that you receive through a text message.

Step 8:

Almost done! The last thing for you to do is to copy/print/save the code provided to you on this page. This code will allow you to still log into your account if you ever forget your phone and cannot use authentication to sign in.

Step 9:

You can now sign into your account! Be sure to click “Sign in with Thomson Reuters Account” for subsequent visits to the Client Portal.

You are now officially signed into your new Thomson Reuters Account!

  • Please note that for every subsequent login, you will be notified on your phone and will need to enter the 6-digit code you receive to approve the sign-in request.
  • The email address associated with your account will automatically be set up as a secondary option for authentication, in case you do not have access to your mobile device.
  • You can always add or change your authentication method by clicking “manage my Thomson Reuters account” from the portal page.
